So I have small back pain and have long thought it could be solved with a specific type of computer chair. I spend most of my time in computer chairs as it is what I do for a living.
I feel that any type of chair that takes the weight of the small of my back would be a solution. The only problem is those type of items are usually expensive, so I thought I would pose the question here and see if you all think something like this is doable in wood (:

I want to build something like that. I don't need it to be automatic or adjustable completely but if I could build it out of mostly wood and still get a similar product that would be awesome. I could even purchase a chair like one of these http://www.bizchair.com/racingchairs.html and attach it.
It really is the housing to hold the chair and the monitors that I'm curious about.
Do you all think it is possible? Would I need to hire someone to design the plans? The base emperor i think is under 6k.
thanks in advance

Wow, that is "over the top",
Wow, that is "over the top", both figuratively and literally. As someone who really enjoys working with wood, I have to give you credit for even considering it.
Are you looking to duplicate the artistic structure, or just the placement of the chair, input devices, and monitors?
