And we are a huge step closer to the Momplex looking like this:

And now I really do know how to cut bangs.

So all the while the Momplex is at the salon, getting new hair, I am trying my hardest to not be a back seat stylist.

I am wondering how we are going to frame up the front of the new gable end above the garage doors. How are we going to put bangs in there?

Are we going to notch out 2x4s and add them with brackets? What would the angles be? It's going to be so hard.

I had to leave. It felt like I was watching a hair stylist take too much hair off, wanting sooooooo badly to say something, but then resisting being THAT sort of client.

Turns out I WAS THAT sort of client. When I came back, half of the new bangs were already up in place.

How did the Ram do that so fast???????

I'd still be notching 2x4s out with angles to match the trusses ......

He had a better idea.

Why not just place the 2x4 studs NEXT to the trusses? Then you can simply nail to the truss and the top rafters.

Duh.

I knew that.

And why not just build the vent opening on the ground, and hand it up and nail in place?

At about this point, I start thinking, hmmmm ... it's going to be really tough getting plywood up there. Am I going to have to nail it while the Ram holds it? I don't like that nailgun. It's really loud. And has really big nails. But I REALLY don't want to be up in that lift HOLDING the sheet of plywood either ....

Maybe I'll run home and make lunch and come back.
