I'd really love to have a hope chest/blanket chest/trunk kind of thing to go at the end of my farmhouse bed. Any suggestions? Every time I google hope chest plans, I get things that require routers and dovetail joints, and all kinds of crazy things that I don't own.

I agree that the plans we're asking for are similar, and think if Ana would make yours, I could alter it for my purpose. I don't want legs, and I want a tall, thin box compared to your relatively shallow, wide box. But yes, they are similar. I may just go ahead and tweak the entry bench to have a closed front and hinged top. (And if I really get crazy... cedar lining.) If/when I get around to it, I'll link to pictures here.

I second this. I don't have kids but a plan for a simple chest to store
blankets/pillows in the lounge room or guest room would be wonderful.
