Hemnes Linen Cabinet

I'd love to see what you've done, Dan.  Even if there's not a project page, is the sketchup stuff linkable?  (I'm a sketchup noob, so I wouldn't know . . . )  I'd love to build one of those!

I haven't had time to write a full set of instructions yet, but I have thought quite a bit about how it will all go together.  A circular saw with a straightedge cutting guide is probably a necessity to get nice clean edges on the plywood panels.  Pocket hole joinery will  be used pretty much throughout the piece.  The sides and bottom shelf can all be cut out of a half sheet of ¾ ply.  The drawer bottoms and back are ¼ paneling,  I think beadboard would look good there.  The top could be ¾ plywood with ¾x¾ mitered trim to hide the laminated edges.  Alternatively, four 1x6s can be glued together with pocket holes acting as clamps to keep things aligned and tight.

The overall dimensions match those given on the "swedish" website  I am not sure about some of the proportions on this piece, especially the legs.  Right now the legs are 1½ inches square.  2 inches would probably look better and be quite a bit sturdier.  Same thing goes for the door frames.  I don't know of an easy way to get full 2"x2" legs without some cutting and gluing.   Also since most people here don't have a router table, the door glass will have to be mounted on the inside face of the door frame and held on with some type of clips.
