Farmhouse Queen - Black Distressed

I wanted a new bed and couldnt find one thing that I liked that was even remotely in my price range.  Me and my dad search the internet for a bit and I found your site.  I really liked the Farmhouse Queen plan.  I wanted to do a distressed black finish on it though.  We also embedded the side rails partially into the 4x4 and created slots on the inside of the side rails for 1x8s to fit in acting as the frame for the mattress. We also shiplapped the headboard and footboard inlets. We had some issues figuring that out, but in the end it should work.  I am very happy with the final result and it is just what i was looking for, for a fraction of the cost!  Thanks!
