Black Pallet "Fairytale" Table

This table was inspired by Ana's Pallet Coffee Table, but I wanted it to be different and did not want to spend the money of the larger sized casters. For this project, I used a pallet that I found on Craig's List for free, and it had a solid wood top rather than slats.

I sanded everything down and removed all nails etc that were sticking out. Basically I cleaned the pallet up so that it was more usable.

After this, I painted the pallet a "very black", and added front "drawers" with hardware, but they are just for looks. They do not open or close. I used silver spray paint on old hardware I had around the house to give it an updated look.

Next, I ripped apart an old end table that was ready for the dumpster, and salvaged the legs. I cut them down to make them a good height for my table. Then I painted and distressed them to match, and attached them with braces underneath.

I left one side of the pallet open to create cubbies that could hold magazines etc.

Lastly, I found some amazing fairytale scrapbooking papers at Hancock's, that I decoupaged onto the top of the table, then trimmed out "frame" style. Hope you like it!
