I am a professional civil engineer by education and experience but have been a home economist (stay at home mom) for 3 years now. I was referenced to your blog through facebook 2 days after I spent time out in my garage staring at the scrap wood we have. I wanted to build a step stool and cubby holes to hold shoes. My first thought was well, I would have to cut this wood and I can't do that. I immediately felt defeated. Then I read your blog. I know we have almost all the tools, and I would like to try a project and see what I think. I am thinking of starting with the farmhouse bench because my dream would be to make the table for my kitchen. Thank you for the encouragement!
