Simple, Cheap & Easy console table

Finally done with it!  I love how it was so quick to build, but my word it makes the finishing time seem like forever ;)  It doesn't help I had a heck of a lot of issues!

Thanks for all the great plans, Ana!

Here's a pic, and some links to my blog posts about it

Thanks!!  I'm very pleased with it.

I'm *not super pleased that my 3 year old ran his cars along the bottom and chipped a bit of paint off already, though :(  I'll need to do some touchups soon!

Wow!  Beautiful.  I love the two-tone finish.

I too started with this console table and love the way it turned out! Yours looks great and I like how you left the top as wood, and painted the bottom. Laugh

The only thing I'd do differently with mine is use different wood. The cheap pine I purchased just didn't stain as evenly as I would have liked, even after multiple coats. Oh well, good place to start! Up next is the Farmhouse Bed and Rustic Table w/Benches!

Thanks so much!

I think yours turned out great!  What stain did you use?  Did you use wood conditioner as well?  I haven't had any issues staining the cheap pine if I'm liberal with the conditioner!
