My daughter fell in love with these bunk beds, and she has to share a tiny bedroom, so bunk beds are really the only option, but she wants them like these: charming $1600+ ones.
I know I can't do anything near as ornate, but I wondered if I could do solid panels for head and foot boards and use carved wood appliques and rope trim to dress up the panels? Can the Lydia beds be stacked if the legs aren't tapered? I couldn't put the curved pieces on the front upper bunk, I know. I would have to use a normal side rail there, but does anyone see why I can't do it otherwise?
