Inset Drawers . . . Aren't Inset
The lumberyard gave me drawer faces that are too thick by about 1/4" (!). Unfortunately, I already have put the (expensive) moulding on the drawer faces. The best solution seems to be to cut down the length of the drawer boards by about 1/4", leaving the drawer faces alone. I don't have a bunch of power tools to work with (basically, a jigsaw and belt sander). Any suggestions for how to make the boards shorter by about 1/4"?
Many thanks! :)
ETA: I got a product for the jig saw called a rip fence--it's used to help with making smaller-sized straight cuts. I hope this will help others if you find yourself in the same predicament! :)
