I love the Rolling C Table. I've been looking at it for months wondering if I really needed it. Then, this morning the light bulb flashed on. I sit in bed with my laptop all the time. It's a pain in the butt to pick it up and set it aside when I need to get up. BUT! If it was sitting on the top of the Rolling C Table, all I'd have to do is scoot the table away and then roll it back!
So, Ana White fans: How do I make the Rolling C Table taller and still sturdy? If I've measured right, from my floor to the top of my thigh when sitting in bed is roughly 32 inches. You tell me the shop/cut list and I'm set!

I would increase the height of the back and center pieces from 21 to 33 inches. That will put the height of the top at 36" which will give you a little clearance to pull it toward you while you are under the covers. Adding a second center piece gives more support, put them about 2.25" from the outside edges which will leave them 5.5" apart. You could add a couple of small shelves for more storage if you'd like by cutting 1x6 scraps to fit between the two supports.
You'll need to buy a 8' 1x6 instead of a 2' and an 8' 1x12 instead of a 6'.

Yay! Thank you so much! I knew someone would know how to do this. :)
