Just starting - need some guidance

Well, I have been accepted to graduate school for the upcoming fall semester. I will have one month off before starting school. I have decided to furnish our apartment with furniture that I will make (we need to buy everything anyways as we are coming from a foreign country).

My question is pretty basic. I have looked online at the wood selection at Home Depot and Lowes and am confused as to what would I need. I know I don't need pressure treated, as everything will be indoors. I am staying with Pine as it seems to be the least expensive. Should I be using yellow or white pine.

What kind of plywood should I buy?

I will be building the following items.

I know this is a lot of work, but as I said, I have a month with absolutely nothing to do.

Where could I cut corners and save a little money without sacrificing quality?

I will be using one stain, and two different paints for all the furniture, so I know I can save a little by buying larger cans.

Is there a build order that you would recommend? Maybe there will be scraps from one item that cold be used in another item.

Should I buy all wood at one time or do it piece by piece?

I will have access to a full workshop, so I will not need to purchase any tools other than the Kreg set.

Thank you in advance for your advice.
