I purchased 'The Handbuilt Home' a few weeks ago and so far has completed the picnic table using the plan in the book, and I've started on the adult adironack chair.
I have questions on the adironack chair plan. It looks like there may be some measurement mistakes, but I thought I'd post here and get feedback. Perhaps I'm just not understanding correctly.
1. Adironack chair.
In the cutting list it says to cut the stringers 24 1/4" long, longest measurement.
When you go to the assembly page the stringer measurement on the diagram shows 25 1/2 on top and 26 3/8 on the bottom due to the angles cut at both ends. I'm not seeing where the 24 1/4 measurement came from.
Also, a 45 degree cut off square just means a 45 degree miter cut on a square board?

it's a mistake. It's only by sheer luck I noticed before I did my cuts.
