you know basically square shelves set on the diagonal?
I was thinking some to hang on the wall in my bedroom for my current books/magazines I'm reading.

but maybe on a smaller scale 4 cubes by 4 cubes or 6 x6? whatever makes sense with wood etc........ but you already know that.
