Please read through the entire plan and all comments before beginning this project. It is also advisable to review the Getting Started Section. Take all necessary precautions to build safely and smartly. Work on a clean level surface, free of imperfections or debris. Always use straight boards. Check for square after each step. Always predrill holes before attaching with screws. Use glue with finish nails for a stronger hold. Wipe excess glue off bare wood for stained projects, as dried glue will not take stain. Be safe, have fun, and ask for help if you need it. Good luck!
Instructions
Step 1
Getting the stringers cut right is super important. Mark out as shown above. Use a protractor to draw angled lines. Remember that all lines are 15 degrees off square, in one direction or another. Cut two, and ensure that both stringers match up.
The front edge of the stringer should be marked as front and is shown on the upper left of the diagram above.
Step 3
Step 4
Step 6
Step 7
Step 8
It is always recommended to apply a test coat on a hidden area or scrap piece to ensure color evenness and adhesion. Use primer or wood conditioner as needed.

Child Surf Chair dimensions on plan
Ana - about to build a couple of these for the Grands, but I question the angles shown for the stringers. You show angles of 85 deg's, 90 deg's, and 15 deg's. The result would be 190 deg's. All angles should add up to 180 deg's on a squared end, correct ? Also, "Step 2" shows the frt apron dim as 14 3/4, but your cut list has the dim at 15 inches. ??? Any help ?
