Please read through the entire plan and all comments before beginning this project. It is also advisable to review the Getting Started Section. Take all necessary precautions to build safely and smartly. Work on a clean level surface, free of imperfections or debris. Always use straight boards. Check for square after each step. Always predrill holes before attaching with screws. Use glue with finish nails for a stronger hold. Wipe excess glue off bare wood for stained projects, as dried glue will not take stain. Be safe, have fun, and ask for help if you need it. Good luck!

I like the simplicity of this! My daughter, who is moving back to the US after spending the past year living in London, England, was just saying that she needs a new desk. This might be just the thing she is looking for.

This is just like what I am
This is just like what I am in the middle of designing for our kids to use. The space I'm working with is about 3.4m (~11 feet) and I was going to make the desk about 600mm deep (~23.5in) and 750mm high (29.5in). I'm thinking of making the support cabinets a bit wider and maybe incorporating some cubbies. I'll definitely be able to grab some ideas from this plan. Thanks!
