I am in desperate need of good advice on what product(s) to use on outdoor wood furniture. My husband and I are going to build a farm table and it will be used on our screen porch in Virginia. It will be exposed to heat, humidity and rain. I want to stain the top and paint the legs.
What products should we use to make sure the table is as weatherproof as possible?
Thank you!

I also have the same question. Hopefully my comment will bump up this thread and our question will be answered.
Of the 27 tutorials Ana did with mini-wax not one addressed outdoor furniture. I found that odd. (unless I missed it).

Outdoor protection - spar varnish
I built an outdoor cabinet and used spar varnish on it. It says it protects the finish from sun and outdoor elements. It has been outside for about 2 months now and still looks good. Don't know how long it will last, but I will probably re-varnish it in about a year. I hope this helps.

I'm making a missionary table
I'm making a missionary table to go outside. for the base, I will prime it with exterior wood primer, then paint it with exterior wood paint. For the top, I will stain it with weatherproof wood stain. Simples! good luck!
