Free plans to build a farmhouse style play table from Ana-White.com
Many years later, we are still using this darling play table. It is beautiful and durable and has held up well.
Preparation
- 4 end table legs (we used these ones from Osborne Wood)
- 2 - 1x3 @ 16-1/2"
- 2 - 1x3 @ 40-1/2"
- 1 - premade project panel 24" x 48"
- 1-1/4" pocket hole screws
2 - 1x3 @ 16-1/2" 2 - 1x3 @ 40-1/2"
Please read through the entire plan and all comments before beginning this project. It is also advisable to review the Getting Started Section. Take all necessary precautions to build safely and smartly. Work on a clean level surface, free of imperfections or debris. Always use straight boards. Check for square after each step. Always predrill holes before attaching with screws. Use glue with finish nails for a stronger hold. Wipe excess glue off bare wood for stained projects, as dried glue will not take stain. Be safe, have fun, and ask for help if you need it. Good luck!
Instructions
Step 1
It is always recommended to apply a test coat on a hidden area or scrap piece to ensure color evenness and adhesion. Use primer or wood conditioner as needed.

Chairs please!
I love this table! I would love to make it but not sure about chairs... would the $4 stackable chairs on your site look ok with it since they are all square corners? Where did you get the farmhouse style chairs shown? Btw... I absolutely love your site! It's what gave me the confidence to tackle woodworking when I had never really considered it a possibility! Now if it would just warm up so I can build! Thanks!

The Perfect Table
We are putting our child's homeschool room together this week and I have been struggling with what to do for a work space. I wanted something that would be big enough for my two children to share once the baby gets older, or for group projects when friends are here. I came across your site (which is addicting, by the way) and decided to put this together. We love it! It took about an hour to build and came together perfectly. As soon as it was done my 3 year old looked at me with the biggest eyes and said "Is that for me and brother?" The first thing he did this morning was ask to sit at his new table. I need to stain and seal it still, but it is going to be an amazing addition to our school room. Thanks!

Chairs to go with Table
I love the table, but was wondering where you got the chairs from or if you have plans to make them?
