Dear Ana,
I built this Deck chair as per the plans on your site. Super easy for amatuer beginners like me. Enjoyed making it. Thank a lot!

Dear Ana,
I built this Deck chair as per the plans on your site. Super easy for amatuer beginners like me. Enjoyed making it. Thank a lot!
I built this changing table for my friend's new baby. I had to stain all the individual pieces and assemble it at her house. It wouldn't fit assembled in my vehicle! :)
I also built her a stepstool as well.
I wanted to revamp my mudroom and need some storage so I built a bench and designed it as a built-in.

thanks,
Ian
I took the plan from this and rather than have a two tone with paint, I stained the entire thing and used my wood burner to burn a pentacle in the top. My wife loves her altar.
This was a blast. Thanks so much for the plans Ana, as well as for all the comments after the plans, which help a lot too. I did a combo, and it worked wonderfully! I made a little more work for myself than I needed to, but for a first project, I feel proud of myself...and can't wait for my next project.
This was a quick weekend project. I built two: one for myself and another for a sister. I really like this frame. It's a neat way of displaying photos.
You can check out my blog for more build details.

thanks so much for the plans! :)
I had a wonderful time making this toy box and learning new techniques. Having access to a table saw really made this project turn out awesome. I was able to get 1/4" shims made that allowed for easy, precise offsets. The family just loved it!
My kids outgrew the original locker I built for them. Plus we have adopted 2 kids through foster care. So my wife asked for a new locker. I found this design on the website and determined we needed 2. Then to make it better we wanted a bench to connect the 2. So I built a 3rd bottom of the locker and adjusted the measurements for the space we had. Turned out amazing.
These are my wooden magazine files made after looking at Ana's plans. I chose to paint these to match my bathroom.

Great idea for corraling the magazines that pile up in the bathroom! I really like the colors, too.
We used the idea of the traditional wood toddler bed but modified it to get the look we were going for.
I took a different direction on the doors instead of using the barn doors I used old wooden windows in place of them.
This was my first”big” project beyond doing your blanket ladder and a noodle board. This build was a lot of fun and I have people interested in having me make these chairs for them. Thank you so much for the plans and all that you do. Best wishes for a great New Year
This table cost around 35.00 to make and a couple of hours to build. I used the dark walnut stain twice and polycrylic. Very sturdy, good looking table.

Thank you. We were surprised how pretty the stain turned out.
Paint color krypton blue ocean breeze gloss.
My husband just used Ana’s plans to create my Dream craft table.
Used the plans for the spa bench to make a easy entryway bench...

Beautiful job! Congrats on your first project! It looks really super and I love the finishes you used!
This console table was exactly what I wanted! We changed the measurements and made it a little smaller to fit in the corner of the room. My brother built this table for me and he was able to build it in 2 hours. The directions were easy and informative. Thank you so much Ana! I love your furniture!!!
Loved the twin sized cabin bed but my grandson is a few years away from needing a big boy bed. Husband scaled down the plans and this is what we came up with.
The table is the fancy x desk. This was my very first wood project. My first time using power tools and painting furniture. The picture frames are from Ana Whites book, The Handbuilt Home. They were my second project. This is located in the back of my frontroom. I love the color. Thanks Ana!
P.S. this was my first project, so I took my time.

What a fantastic job! (the color is great too) I am choosing this plan as my first project as well. I have built small things before and I am familiar with how to use saws and such, but this is a build that I have been working up the confidence to tackle, lol. Wish me luck, cause this is the weekend I will be starting it :)
Again, you did a great job!

By the way, I agree with your last statement about asking the paint associate at your Home Depot for advice on which paint or technique to use, I am an associate at The Home Depot and the folks we have in our paint department are fabulous!! they are very knowledgeable and most have years of experience and a background in the painting trade.
