I am a social worker at heart and by profession, but I also am a "want-to-be carpenter" underneath it all. I come from a family of carpenters, and I have always admired the work from afar; but never had the courage to dive in myself. Five years ago my older brother passed (who was a self-employed carpenter), and I recently was given most of his tools. So, I have dusted them off, and put them to work. Ana's site has given me a springboard which I can jump off from. I love the site, the blogs, the plans, and most of all, the woman power behind it all. My first project was a combination bed I made by combining a few of Ana's plans...as I never do anything the easy way. Thanks for the inspiration. I hope I have many other projects to share.
