Painting an Activity Table

I just finished building an activity table.  I've put filler on the top and sides of the table, but I'm debating about the very bottom.  Should I paint the underside of the table or just leave it?  What would you do?  I keep going back and forth on it.

Hi Toristreats, I like to finish my projects on ALL exposed sides because I'm just weird like that, but if you notice, most store bought furniture is not finished on sides that you cannot see (backs and undersides). There are some arguments that if you don't finish all sides, the wood will warp in one direction, but I don't think this applies to a completed project. My thoughts are, I've already got my brush out, why not paint the back and underside? Can't wait to see your activity table!

I  made this activity table and totally know how you feel.  I thought the same thing when I finished building it.  I put two coats of primer on the underside.  That way it felt more finished.  :)  And I did lightly sand between coats because those cheap 2x2's were pretty rough.  Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice.  I think I'm going to paint the bottom.  I just don't think I will feel it is finished until I do.  I'll post a picture when it is all finished.
