I would really like to make this bed.  This is not the same as Ana's farmhouse bed.  This one has a taller foot board and I perfer this style.  Here is a link from a photo in the photobook.

There was a post on the old blog that had the higher foot board dimensions for the farmhouse bed, but since everything moved over here, I haven't been able to find it. I'm looking for the plans for that too because that's what I want to build. Hopefully someone can link us up cause I've given up looking for them. =/

It looks to me like this person made their footboard panel boards the same length as the headboard panel boards (30"). You shouldn't need a new plan to make this bed, just use the same plan for you bed you need (king, queen, etc...) and make the footboard center panel boards the same length as the headboard panel boards. Then the only other thing you would need to change is the length of the 4x4s for the legs of the footboard. If you want 9" (clearance) under the siderails of your bed, then make your 4x4s    9" (clearance)+ 30" (panel) = about 39" (make sure to cut to measure though!).

The only other thing you need to change from her plan is how many boards you need to buy. I found a great website to help me with this...

http://www.kgolding.co.uk/woodcut.php

Here you enter how long of cuts you need and how many of each type of board

(ex:   1.   QTY    X     LENGTH DESCRIPTION)

        10     X     30    Inches        Headboard Panels

10     X     15    Inches Footboard Panels

(make sure you only use the same type of board for each list you make- ie: make a new list for your 1x4s... 1x3s... 2x12s...)

The only hitch with this site is the standard board lengths are in metric units

Just change them to these:  1.83m = 6' board,  2.44m = 8' board,  3.05m = 10ft board,  3.66m = 12ft board

When you hit ENTER it will tell you the most efficient boards to use and how many you need!

Hope this helps!
