I made a nightstand for DH, but it got really cold this past week and I haven't put the poly on yet...I'd be shocked if it warmed up any time before say...April ;) I moved the piece into the house, but I just haven't been able to bring myself to stink the house up. I suppose I could seal off the master bath for a few days and poly in there...But that seems like a major hassle ;) if I leave it un-poly'd for a while, is there any real issue? It just holds a lamp and his clock and watch. He doesn't bring water to bed or anything.
Thanks for any thoughts or info!

The water-based finishes, and the gel finishes are less stinky. I used General Finishes wipe-on gel finish in a bathroom and a kitchen and it was barely noticeable.

Thanks! I bought some water-based and poly'd it tonight...I am a little bit in love with that stuff now! It seemed easier to work with than the regular poly, and I loooove the water-clean-up :)
