I am just finishing up two of the farmhouse beds for my daughters. I was thinking of using the General Finishes milk paint in white, but have no experience with this. I would likely top with a water based satin poly. Anyone have any experiences with this finsh?

I have used milk paint in the past, and have good results with it, although I didn't put any kind of top coat on it. Here is a link that should give you all the info about milk paint you need: http://www.nrhillerdesign.com/.....9076.pdf
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link to the article Joe. I have the footboards painted on both beds. I used the General Finishes milk paint in snow white. It's nice as it's already mixed. It was very thick and I went with one coat. I suppose I could have thinned it, but one coat still allows the grain to show through and it looks great. I will post a pic when I am done. I will likely put a water based satin clear coat on top.
