I am wife to a wonderful man, and mother of four children who are wonderful (most of the time). I love reading, playing and writing piano music, scrapbooking, and basically creating anything. I love to paint and decorate, too. We have lived on hand-me-down furniture for years, just making do, because new furniture is NEVER in the budget! :) I ran across your blog when I was searching for a headboard. The famous Farmhouse bed caught my attention, and I quickly snagged "The Handbuilt Home" from Amazon.com. I fell in love with the projects - love the book. I have had the book three weeks, and although it took a little convincing to get my hubby to consider helping me, we are both totally thrilled with the results, and he is taking on all my projects! So far, in the last two weeks, we have built two benches, a queen-size farmhouse bed, a modified twin farmhouse bed, and he is out in the shop now, making a second one. We have plans for quite a few other things, and I am SO excited! Thank you for making this simple.
