Hi,
First off, I am a guy and I hope that doesn't get me kicked out of here. :)
I get very involved with DIY and I am unbelievably happy to have found this site for the detailed instructions. I have renovated many rooms in our house but that can all fall under carpentry, not woodworking. I have just started branching into more detailed woodworking, hanging doors, trim etc. and now I am looking at my first build. Just bought a porter cable compressor and nail guns so I am ready!
My first project can be found Here:

I enjoy taking pictures and tracking progress of my projects so once I get going I will keep that thread alive until the project is complete.
Thanks again for a great site,
John

Welcome! (even though you're a guy) LOL just kidding!
I think this site is fabulous for ANYONE wanting to do it themselves! I'm sort of the same as you (except for the guy part... haha) in that I have done dozens of projects in my home, but only my last one (a built-in storage system I designed & built from scratch for our laundry "closet" that happens to be super-smartly located in a "closet" to one side of our kitchen...blech) is the only one I would consider "woodworking."
Looking forward to seeing the locker system. I have a similar project waiting to be started, but it's gotten pushed back a bit to build the train/lego table Ana posted a couple of days ago...and I'm hoping it will be a Christmas present. That would for sure be a Christmas miracle with all of the other things I have to do to get the house ready for the holidays though.
Have fun!
