I had been searching for quite some time to find a dresser to build that would replace my old falling apart Ikea Hemnes that I had purchased back in college (a LONG time ago...). I finally came across PB Teen's Chelsea Wide Dresser and fell in love. I went ahead and created my own knock-off, and, honestly, I love it even more than the original! I'm so excited to share the plans with you guys!
Head on over to my blog, Old Paint Design, for the full project plan: http://www.oldpaintdesign.com/2012/02/01/madison-dresser/
Please read through the entire plan and all comments before beginning this project. It is also advisable to review the Getting Started Section. Take all necessary precautions to build safely and smartly. Work on a clean level surface, free of imperfections or debris. Always use straight boards. Check for square after each step. Always predrill holes before attaching with screws. Use glue with finish nails for a stronger hold. Wipe excess glue off bare wood for stained projects, as dried glue will not take stain. Be safe, have fun, and ask for help if you need it. Good luck!
It is always recommended to apply a test coat on a hidden area or scrap piece to ensure color evenness and adhesion. Use primer or wood conditioner as needed.

Perfect!!!
This is so beautiful!!! I have been looking for a dresser to use as a vanity (ours currently is a his/hers and apparently I'm supposed to be 4' tall to use it!) in the bathroom and I think this is beautiful!!! If we were to make it 72" (adding 10") where else would we need to add onto in terms of the cut list?
