I built this PB Teen-inspired #1 shelf for my oldest son's bedroom. He has an all-star theme going on in there, so I knew this would be perfect for him. I modified the plans a bit and used standard 1" boards, rather than plywood. I am planning to hang it on his wall and I wanted to be able to have a sturdier shelf to do so.

Made the swing then just kinda came up with my own frame.

First build ever and we're thrilled with how it turned out. Definitely took us longer than the 4 hours other users have cited, but not bad for total newbies! Thanks for the plans, we love it.

Laundry Sorter

We are expecting baby #4, and I knew we needed to get the laundry under control before we added a new family member. I cannot tell you how helpful these have been for eliminating laundry piles and encouraging our kids to put away their own baskets. And I splurged on a $9 gallon of "oops" paint from Home Depot to make them fun and cheery, too. I highly recommend this laundry sorter project for those who feel like the laundry never ends. It's such a great investment in your sanity!

Made two of these twin Kentwood Beds for my boys by myself! Super easy and a never study bed! Can't wait to decorate their rooms now!!

Wanted some easy storage shelving that didn't break the bank.  These were perfect!  $79 is what it cost for ours (which includes the $20 Kreg Jig).  Lumber was only $58.68 and I bought and extra 8 foot 2x4, so it could have been slightly cheaper!  

My Dad wanted a table for his chessboard to sit on with the wood from the board to match the table. I had seen this design on the website and liked. It was different then the last table I built, so a new thing to learn. This is my 3rd wood project. Not an overly challenging build, but like anything, special attention to getting everything square and (lesson learned) drilling the 2x2 with the pocket holes, ensure they are lined up, centered and the correct depth. It came out very nice, and I'm sure Dad will enjoy.

I wanted to do floating shelves in my bathroom but I have very limited space so I decided I was going to do floating shelves in a corner where I did have space. This is not going to be the only shelf, I will make another one to go above it. I was tired of having no storage space for things like toilet paper and towels so now we can use these floating shelves to do that for us :) Tomorrow I'm going to build the second one to go above this one. Making it for a corner is really no different than making it straight. The sleeve fit right over the frame I built and it looks beautiful I think :)

What do you think ? I painted mine to match the tiles as I didn't want it to stand out too much. It's a useful item for sure, but I wanted the mirror and wallpaper from @thepureedit to be the focal points.

It was a straight forward project and the plans were excellent and easy to follow. We did purchase the Kreg Jig and that takes a little practice to get it right but it does make an extremely strong joint. We applied three coats of paint and one coat of stain on the top. This is for our German Shepherd and he loves it. It took us three or four days just because we worked on it a little bit each evening.
