First real furniture project. Used pocket screws for just about everything and added some decorative 2" bread boards.
This is my first made-from-scratch table, and I'm really proud of the result!
I made this table for my amazing in-laws. They just moved into a beautiful new home with a spacious, open dining area, and they've been looking for a large table that our growing family can gather around.
We customized Ana's design by making the table larger and by transforming the ends of the table into extendable 10" table leaves.
The final dimensions are:
Height: 2.5'
Width: 3.4'
Length (fully extended): 10'
It took two weeks to make, predominately evenings and weekends, and/or whenever my baby girl was asleep!
We needed a large surface in our office that could be used as a desk, sewing space, drawing area, and office work surface. I loved the farmhouse look. We had taken down a large cherry tree a few years ago and had it milled, and we're waiting for the perfect project for her.. We love repurposing and thought this would be he perfect project for some of the milled cherry and some of the landscaping pallets we had given to us.
We used our planer to get all of our legs and cherry slabs to the right dimensions. This saved us a ton of work. Lol. We glued and kregged all of the pieces as needed, but left the top alone. This way it is more manageable. ( The table is 100" long) . Once it was all stained, sanded, and polyurethaned ; remember to sand between coats. Then we took all of the sections into the office where we kregged the top to the legs ( no glue). We didn't glue the legs to the top, that way if it ever needed to be moved, we could do it easily.
It turned out just as I sketched it - our variation of your console table. Thanks for the inspiration Anna.
I used Ana's plans for the idea but used all reclaimed wood that I had or found in the dumpster at construction sites.
Used construction pine 2x4s. I was lucky to be able to use a family members planer and table saw to cut my pieces.
Have loved watching Ana's youtube channel for a few years now and finally got the nerve to try and make some thing. I have always made doll furniture so I thought that I would try and make 1:1 scale furniture. I loved that video she did on the no-pour concrete paver outdoor coffee table and thought that the plans would make a wonderful bench. It took me a couple of weekends but I did it. Added some little accent pieces to the corners cause the bench did seem a bit wobbly. But it still turned out well and I love it. You get such a great high off of making and completing a furniture build. Gave it to my Mom for christmas. She loves it. Only one problem is that everyone who sees it says that it's a lovely coffee table. lol
I got a water leak behind the shower walls. And I started calling for Bathroom remodel quotes..but the pricing quote wasn't not even close to what I had I'm in my budget.so I decided to watching YouTube videos..and I got my design inspiration from the Pinterest app ...and I decided to start my own Diy Bathroom remodel. The rest is history.

My daughter wanted a console for her holiday Halloween village and Christmas village. I had to measure and modify the original plans as they were longer and shallower than what I needed. I also used tongue and groove boards for the sides. She also wanted mitered doors on the front because the barn door stood out too much. Phew! I wish I had a CAD program.
Made this for a friend. Easy Project. Use scrap wood as spacers at the bottom when attaching the legs.
I needed to replace my bed quickly. I could not sleep in my old one anymore. Unfortunately I did not have the money to buy a new one so I turned to Ana white and a short time later I had a new bed and a fresh start. My kids and I love this bed. It’s hard to get them to sleep in their own beds now!
This was my very first build. I had mostly only worked on redoing furniture. I was in need of a new bed. I had a hard time finding something I loved and was in my budget. I happened to come across these plans on pinterest. I fell in love. I went out and bought a small table saw. It was crazy that after buying a table saw, wood and the rest of the materials; it was still only around a third of the price of similar beds I liked. I ended up opting to put metal bins in the center instead of drawers.
I made this table from the husky farmhouse table plan, I have loved this table since I first saw the plan. I used 4” legs instead of 5” and 1x6’s for the top. It turned out beautifully. I did purchase the Osborne legs as recommended.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this site! I basically made this bed in one weekend. My first furniture build. I'm a 51 yo female and did this all by myself! Instructions clear. Buy and cut sheets are the best! The bed turned out so great, I an absolutely thrilled! PS, the nightstand I did by myself too. The plans are here on Ana White as well!!!
I’m absolutely loving the outcome of this design. The plans were perfect and so much fun. I used it as a welcome home gift for my wife and she said it was the best gift ever. Literally my favorite project. Thank you Ana
I made these for my daughter’s bedroom it was small and the wanted smaller tables to fit. It was my first attempt at drawers. They are pretty primitive. I use a router and drawer slides now.
After going through tons and tons of different bed styles settled on this one because i LOVED the way the original image looked, though when it came to picking out stains I decided to do mine a bit differently! I like the look of multiple stains, it certainly allows for you to play with different wood stains on other bedroom furniture as well. This bed WEIGHS A TON, so we agreed that we will never move it unless its to the burn pile but I highly doubt that will ever happen because its incredibly sturdy! Also - Thanks Ana White family, this build introduced me to my kregg jig and it is by far my very favorite tool now!
On this project which I use from Ana White designs, I learned how to cut at an angle and I learned what wood too use to get the look you want. I also just wanted to say thank you for showing us diyer how to feel confident about building and using our hands. It is a good therapy, woodworking and creating.
The wood is all made from reclaimed Hurricane Micheal timbers that I cleaned, sanded, detailed, sanded again, painted, stained, and clear coat.
Even though the wood was used and free, it still has a process upon completion
After moving, my wife informed me that I would be building her a new TV console. This is the end result. Now we need a bigger TV!
