6'x6' with 12'' Treated Sides, 1x4 and 1x6 SPF tops/seats and 2x4 Brace under Seats to accommodate the 6 foot span. Sanded and Painted.
Completed in 2 days, couple hours each day, sanded/painted all boards before assembly.

We needed a sturdy table but didn't want to spend a fortune buying one so decided to take a stab at building one. Our space isn't too large but also wanted the ability to expand the table with leaves if we have a large crowd. I built leaves by cutting notches in the horizontal leg 4x4 and then sliding in/out with 2x2's attached (see pic).
I will say it makes life a whole lot easier learning how to use Sketchup or some other design software. That way you can visualize what it will look like, cuts you need to make especially if you will be deviating from the original post design and don't want to do math in your head (like me).
This was my most ambitious project yet - and I did it during my 2nd trimester of my first pregnancy! I knew I wanted a dresser that would double as a changing table & fell in love with the Madison as soon as I saw it. This is no small project - those drawers were certainly a learning experience! Wish I'd paid more attention to the 1x2s (& sprung for top pine to try to get a straighter frame). We're happy with how it's turned out & can't wait to start using it for our daughter when she arrives in May!
I was asked to build something for my daughters varsity basketball team room. There wasn't a lot of extra space, so this is what I came up with. I wanted to give parents a place to set treats or leave an inspirational message. I was inspired by Ana's modern craft table plans. The smaller bookshelf measures 14" wide by 33 1/4" high (using a 1x8), the larger bookshelf measures 21" wide by 33 1/4" tall (using 3/4" plywood), with a 3/4" plywood top and 2" casters, it's a nice 36" counterheight. I used edgebanding for the top and front exposed plywood edges. I used aluminum flat bar (spray painted gold) to the shelves adding a decorative element as well as to help keep items on the shelves. The back is 1/8" panel spray painted with chalk paint. I added some bay supports at the top of each bookshelf to attach the top from underneath. I'm happy with the results!

we built the hailey platform bed, modified for a king size mattress. we included four extra feet under the bed for additional stability.
Who doesn't like a great scrapwood project? I made these beautiful garden markers with pine, but cedar would have been even better! I just didn't have any on hand. I used 1x3 to put the name of my vegetables and 1x2 for the pickets. I screwed them with 1 1/4 inch exterior screws.
My daughter bought a condo this past summer in St. Louis, MO. It's in an old factory that was rehabbed into condos. It's very industrial looking. Her condo has a lot of open space in the kitchen. She asked me to build her an island. I've previously used several of your plans to build various pieces of very functional pieces of furniture for my daughter, my son, and my wife and me. But this one is one I am especially proud of. I based it off your plan, "Michaela's Kitchen Island" modifying it to meet my daughter's unique needs. The majority of it is oak barnwood reclaimed from my wife's grandparents barns that were torn down to make way for an interstate highway. It is very attractive and user friendly. My daugher couldn't be more pleased. Thanks for all your great building ideas and plans. You've made this dad and daughter very happy.

Made from wood salvaged from a renovation. Cushions from Improvements Catalog and Target.
My wife and I were looking for a larger table for our deck and after searching and seeing that everything out there was 300 dollars and up for something decent I decided I would try building something. This table was perfect for our needs and looked easy enough for me to put together. The most time consuming part was staining all of the boards as I went but it was totally worth it in the end. I also deviated from using screws and used my nail gun along with some glue to put the top frame together and the slats on but I did use some 2inch deckmate screws to attach the legs. One problem I did run into was I was about half a board short on the slats which wasn't a big deal just ripped one on the table saw, not sure if I miss measured or what but either way. We love our table and will entertain around it for years to come.

Great plans, Ana! I swapped out the wood for PVC trim, and used stainless steel screws to hopefully make this thing weatherproof.
