Modern Adirondack Chair
![](/sites/default/files/CD746084-A175-43C2-8BAB-524029DCA400.jpeg)
I really enjoyed making this. Notes: The board with 20 degree cuts needs to be cut at a longer length if cutting at 90 degrees and trimming later. The back support is a little low if you’re over 5’10”.

Simple outdoor set

This outdoor set is a mix of the vintage bar stool plans and the simple table and bench set. I added a few things here and there.

Great Work
I really like your table and bench. Even leaving off the massive 2x4s and using 1 x ? gives the table and bench a light look, but I will bet it is substantial. Keep up the good work.
Corner Bookcase
![](/sites/default/files/corner%20unit.jpg)
I used the corner bookcase plan. It was easy to follow. I think it turned out well for my 2nd wood project. My sister had the idea of painting the panels blue to match the buildin bookcases in my libray room. I have the backs of them painted navy blue.

Barn Style Greenhouse
![](/sites/default/files/IMG_4147_1.jpeg)
Followed your excellent plans, thank you.
Adapted to make smaller...approximately 10ft X 8ft.
It gave me a very enjoyable project to complete during 'lock-down ' and with Greenhouse.

Steel panels (old roofing) were obtain from a kind neighbour for free and all external metal/wood was given several coats of 'Red Oxide' gloss Barn/agricultural paint.
Adaptions made by myself were :-
I put self adhesive 'Flashing' on the bottom wood of the vertical sides...to attempt to protect the wood in contact with the floor from getting over wet......time will tell if it works.
I made additional gussets to support the top piece of wood (attached to each end).
I had trouble with keeping the corrugated roof running parrallel....but the reason for this was that it was not manufactured with straight@right angle ends (when I held a level/straight edge along end - there was a quarter of an inch gap in the centre).

Dog Crate / End Table
![](/sites/default/files/3154814278_1346021204.jpg)
The husband and I have been very inspired by the awesome women (and men) on this site that have created their own pieces of furniture. They all look so amazing! So the husband wanted to give it a shot and try creating this dog crate / end table as his first ever project. Now mind you, he hasn't done any sort of woodworking since wood shop class in high school... and that was at least a decade ago.
I have to say that I'm quite proud of the hubby's first finished project! Although, he did mess up a bit with the table top being an inch too short width wise. I really didn't want him to create another one because that would mean I would have to stain another one and I really REALLY do not want to stain again! So we compromised and ended up gluing a thin wood trim on the side end of the table top to cover up the mistake.

Fun project to build, and more fun for the kids. Ages 7-3 have been loving it. I used pressure treated 2x4s since it would be outdoors all the time. Thanks for the idea.

This is exactly the size I need to build, potentially with the same plumbing requirements. Would you mind sharing your plans, please?

Double Wide Camp Loft Bed!
Have two boys who where in need of more floorspace to play. Saw the great plans for the Camp Loft and decided to make a double wide. One platform and two beds.
All in all went together as designed. Eliminated the stairs for a ladder. Works great if you have a long wall.

Really smart with the platform in the middle - I'm sure they love it!

Back Entry (Mudroom) Shelf
With my beadboard installed and the trim board for my hooks in place in my back entry I was ready to get building. I decided to tackle the shelf first since that would be easier to install without the bench in the way.
For my shelf design I planned it together with my bench so that I could cut everything but the bench top and face framing pieces from a single piece of plywood. Also, the width of my space is a little strange and the shelf couldn't be too deep because of my window location.
I think the shelf turned out cute and I can't wait to prime and paint it and add the coat hooks. I plan to do the finishing work at the same time as the bench so I need to build my bench first though.

Flat wall bookholder
![](/sites/default/files/3154847385_1403717367.jpg)
Followed directions but altered the length of the bookshelf to fit tight space. Super easy to build, not as easy to put up. Recommend anxious and drilling into the backs of the bookshelf.

What was used?
I was wondering how they were affixed to the wall? I've read several posts by people and although the plans seem easy enough nothing is noted on how to affix them to the wall...and I have toddlers. Thanks so much.
Comfort on the deck
![](/sites/default/files/Furniture%20small.jpg)
This deck furniture was made using construction grade 2 x 4's and the simple plans from Ana. The cushions were purchased at Kohls. They were on sale for just under $25.00 each. The cushions are made for chairs, but this seemed to work well. The short bench is 4ft long and the long bench is 8ft. I altered plans slightly by adding center support on long bench and adding a couple supports on the back. The back rails and end arms were raised a little higher. Made them 30". May be a little too high? My wife is going to make back pillows and a corner table is to be added later.

Our first project!
![](/sites/default/files/20200705_171448_0.jpg)
This project was so fun! It was relatively easy to follow, and only took a total of about 4-5 hours. (Probably would have taken less time if it weren't so hot out!) The only suggestions I have to the Simple 2x4 Potting bench plans are as follows: - List how many of each screw are needed. We bought 50 of both types, thinking surely that'd be enough. Nope! A quantity on the shopping list would have been helpful. - Tell us what cuts come from which boards. We were so afraid of cutting up the wrong pieces, so we ended up doing a lot of manual calculation. No big deal (I'm an engineer) but it still would have been helpful.
