Outdoor pallet table with recessed planter box
I bought a house and couldn't stomach buying something I could probably build myself. This is my first project and first furniture build. Besides buying the drill and screws the table was free. Didn't even buy a skill saw, just used a hand saw. The dimensions were dictated by the length of the pallet boards and width by the two end caps, so there were very few cuts to make.
Found plastic planter boxes for succulents (3 in picture) @ dollar store. I wanted to be able to switch out the center pieces and plan to rotate in herbs, ice, other flowers.
This project was totally made possible and inspired by others posting projects so I thought I should say thanks and post my own creation.

Steel Wool in Vinegar. Waited 24 hours for stain to start working. 3 coats over three days from the same mixture so stain got darker each day as the steel wool disolved..

Slightly modified all tree
A friend asked me to build them a hall tree for their entryway because they couldn’t find one big enough to suit the area in their home. Thankfully I found the plans here for Mimi’s hall tree bench and hutch. I had to modify them slightly to make it a little wider and taller. They were very happy with the finished project!

This is the table I made from your plans, but I changed up some of the dimensions and such to fit my needs...it turned out amazing and my wife, family and friends love it...I have been asked if I take orders, but my wife says no...I can only make one for her...lol

4x4 Truss Beam Table
I followed the plans for the 4x4 Truss Beam Table and it turned it out great! I definitely recommend the Kreg Jig HD for the 4x4's. I used non HD Kreg screws for the table top.
It's much easier to build it upside down to ensure you get all your pocket holes underneath. Also, use duct tape to keep the 45 degree angle posts clamped as it's much easier when screwing together.
As a bonus for the family I built it for, I cut their name out with my scroll saw and added as a personal touch for the piece.

Tall TV Cabinet Built-in and Fireplace Board and Batten
See the before/after pic for the difference. My daughter was pulling everything off our open TV stand so it had to go! I designed this to give us the toy storage we need as well. The niche was over two feet deep so I wanted something to utilize all the space. I also wanted the fireplace to stand out so added the board and batten treatment.

American Girl Doll Closet
This was fun and easy. I had some of the wood already so I didn't spend that much. My girls painted it to add a personal touch. I would consider adding a magnet to help the doors stay closed a little better. Its been a couple of years and they are still enjoying this. At the time I had no idea how to make a star. Now I know it woudl be easy with a jig saw.

Orange Side Street Bunk Beds
This is my first large project and I'm very happy with the result. Since I knew we were using regular (thick) mattresses instead of thin bunk-style mattresses, I built the guard rails taller than in the plans. The bunk beds are painted Benjamin Moore Citrus Orange http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-ca/paint-color/citrusorange. New closet
This closet system was designed and ordered using the Ana White Shelf Help configurator. I put it together using my Kreg pocket hole jig, Kreg shelf pin template, and Kreg screws. I’m 70 years old and I was able to do it all myself. My husband helped me move it into the closet after I assembled it. Very sturdy! I planned to paint it white. But, I really liked the light natural finish of the plywood, so I just put several coats of poly instead. I am VERY pleased with the finished product. I would never have attempted this if not for the Shelf Help configurator! Thanks.

Upholstered Bench w/ Slatted Shelf
I had a client who requested a bench like the Caden Leather Bench by Pottery Barn, except she wanted it longer. I didn't bevel the legs because I used 2x3's instead of 2x2's and wanted to make it as sturdy as possible to accommodate the additional length. Needless to say, she was VERY happy with the bench and I am getting ready to work on one for our home now!

Sorry - didn't have plans for this one and I really stink at using the software Ana uses to make plans. I did loosely follow the Cayden Nailhead Stool plans, but, of course, modified in my attempt to duplicate the Pottery Barn bench the client wanted to match. I would be happy to help in any way I can, but you definitely need to be comfortable to work without plans. I used my Kreg jig quite a bit for this project and the little piece of wood that protrudes from the legs is faux - just cut a 1/2" piece and glued and nailed with my brad nailer.
