Farmhouse Table

The table is one that I have been waiting for my husband to retire from the Marines to make me. We moved so often while in the military that I knew there was no need to buy expensive furniture just to get damaged. When I found the plans for this I was thrilled.

The edges of the table have been sanded to resemble the worn weathered look.

Please forgive the pictures. I will retake soon.

ClubHouse FORT

My sons awesome fort. It took some time to complete, as I was doing it on my own. The balancing and juggling act when attaching a few pieces would of made some priceless videos. I used plans from " Clubhouse Bed" as a general guide.

I'm seriously impressed you did this by yourself. Not that you aren't able, but the fact that there are so many big pieces which would have been really awkward and cumbersome with just one person. Beautiful job! Love the screen name, too, definitely fits!

You did a great job, mom! Are there any plans available? I would like to try and build this for my 10 yr old grandson. Did you sink the posts, or are they only attached to the blocks?

Rustic X end tables

My first end tables, used the Rustic x plan except for the bottom shelf. I used a white chalky paint, with a brown wax to give it the rustic look, and stained the top walnut stain. Working on the coffee table to finish the set.

We struggled with the angles because we made the table bigger than this tutorial suggests but all in all, awesome build.

Outdoor Cedar Higher Chair

I used cedar deck boards and rails to make this chair - A little more costly, but definitely worth it!

The seat and back rest were made using 5/4 x 6" boards. I cut them 1/2" to 3/4" longer so that they would overhang the supports - for a more finished look. The 2x2 rails came with an angled cut, so I decided to use that to my advantage on the back supports - I made them a bit longer so they would sit higher on the back rest, and I think the angled cut looks a little more "friendly". All screws were left exposed, since this is an outdoor cedar chair.

The table in the photo is an original picnic table from the 1920's, complete with the original paint. It folds flat for storage. I hope to measure it someday and make a plan to build a reproduction - If that ever happens, I will post it on Ana's site.

Benchwright Coffee Table

This is a replica of the Pottery Barn benchwright coffee table.  I altered Ana's plans slightly by changing the design of the legs to be 2.25" by 2". I added full extension drawer slides.  The finish is a combination of transtint shellac base coat, gel stain, transtint dye, and poly.

Hi! The finish is absolutely gorgeous. I was wondering if you could give a little bit more detail on which products you used for the finish. I've only used oil based stains and I'm not quite sure what the transtint dye is. Thanks!

Shorted 4x4 Truss Beam Table

Shorted this length of the table by 6 inches to fit the available space. Came out great. Tip: If using pine, after stain dries, gently sand again with high grade paper to remove raised ridges after wood has absorbed stain, but not hard enough to remove stain. This will help make the eating surface much smoother to the touch.

Thank you Ana for all of your woodworking plans. I have made several now and this desk is my latest. I stuck with the plywood for the file cabinets and went with an ash top panel made from 8" wide boards in order to practice some jointing and planing. The stain is minwax honey finished with 7 coats of poly. Again, thank you.

We mainly followed the plan but made some adjustments because we wanted the “ugly” side to be able to house brooms and mops and we cut the width down just a tad. We absolutely love how it turned out!! And we definitely needed this in our space!

"Cube" storage unit

My wife and I wanted a nice way to hide more of our son's toys in the living room that didn't look tacky. We actually bought the cubby bins before even deciding what to make. (From target of course.) I made the bookcase out of wood shelving that already looked kind of beat up when I bought it knowing that the wood stain wood bring some character to it.

I only changed the plans slightly by making the legs flush with the inside so I could trim the ends and customizing the size of the cubby openings to fit the bins. (Mine aren't actually cubes.)

I needed some chairs for my firepit and I found these Ana White plans on Pinterest! They were not too hard to make and they look great!! The only problem I have now is what's my next project...cause now I have that "Creative Fever!"

Picnic Tables

For my son's 4th birthday party, we were doing it at our house and needed outdoor seating, so I took on the task of building 3 Toddler picnic tables and 1 smaller one. Building them was not that big of a deal, but painting all 4 took some time! After the party, we sent 1 to my parents, 1 to in-laws & 1 to my bro/sis-in-law, so only ended up with 1 left over. FYI-the picture on the plan is one of mine, thanks Ana!
