Absolutely in love with this table. It turned out even better than we thought since this was my first diy project. We didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars buying a table similar to one we could make ourselves so we decided to give it a go. Our biggest issue with building it was the wood warping. We could only work on it every other weekend so the wood starting moving and it wasn’t on a flat surface. Definitely tie it down to a flat surface if you can’t build it all in a few days. We reinforced the breadboards with pocket holes on the inside and out because the first time we only did the inside, it snapped off. We used a lot of glue the second time around. Will definitely be making more tables in the future.

I liked Sausha's original design of the washer and dryer pedestals, but I wanted to add a few little personalized touches to it.

First, rather than using MDF, I went with plywood because of cost and weight. Also, I chose not to fill in the imperfections of the surface of the plywood. The top piece will be covered by the washer and dryer, and the bottom piece will be covered by baskets, etc. I like the look of the imperfections, as well.

Lastly, I spent an extra $10 on some additional cap molding for the base and the top, just to give it a more finished look. My wife chose white over black to fit the room better.

This was my first project and I am excited to build more!

Thanks for the plans they were easy to follow. Complete the pair over two weeks, working on them a few hours at a time. I routed the tops at the wood shop on base for a small fee.

Husband and I built this beauty over a rainy weekend. He had cut the wood a few weeks before, then we had to wait for a free weekend to assemble. We switched the placement of the walls around so the bed wouldn’t go over a heat vent and had to trim a few inches off the legs to fit with our lowers ceiling. I painted the back wall with chalkboard paint and we added shelves to the side like shown in the blogpost linked on the build page. We added a light above and Christmas lights below to brighten things up. A book sling and pulley with basket added the perfect finishing touches. All our boys love this magical new addition to our youngest son’s room and gave already spent many hours playing there. 

My first project. I refinished my old dinning table legs and made a plank board table top from 2x6s. I gave a good coating of Varathane over the legs and the top to stand up to our daily life and kids.

I made this dresser for my daughter for Christmas. I followed the plans exactly except I made feet with 2x4 scraps instead of wheels.

a quick and easy chair to build

This project was fun and easy to do. I made two of them so my husband and I could each work, watch movies or whatever while sitting in bed. The kids also use them sometimes during the day for playing on the computer or for having a snack. These little lap desks are super sturdy and very useful. They only cost me about $5 each to make.

My son and I bulit this 8x10 frame from a pallet for a Christmas gift for my dad, who is standing in the center. 

I built this table for my wife.  I added a 1/4 round to the edge of the table.  She did all of the finish work including the top which is Unicorn Spit and epoxy.  I turned out really nice.  Thanks for the plans!

When I saw someone post this sand box request on Ana's facebook page, it was like the sand box of my dreams! Our backyard is a work-in-progress, and we're constantly in different areas, so I knew that I would need a much smaller, transportable size. When the back yard is finished, I'll definitely build the full-sized sand box... But until then, I've got this 2' x 2' box, some sand in an IKEA bag, and a happy little toddler, who cries every time I try to close this to get photos. :-)

Sorry there aren't more pictures of the building of it. We ended up rushing through it because a storm was moving in. In total it took about 4 hours to build the boxes and headboard. We already had the upholstered portion of the headboard that I made from scrap a few months ago so we made the bed to fit around it. We decided to leave it without a footboard so that we could slide things underneath easier. This has made storing things underneath very easy, we even keep our laundry baskets tucked underneath and we can have easy access. By making the cubbies slightly smaller we were able to make a total of 4 cubbies on each side and we can store all of our clothes and were able to get rid of our dresser.

This dollhouse bookcase was made by my Uncle Tom for my daughter. We can't wait to get it painted and get some fun furniture for it. He said it was a pretty simple project, and was able to get the materials relatively cheaper.

This is a fun and simple project to make. It consists of 12 pieces that are all the same size. The pieces are glued together to make 3 assemblies. Getting it apart or putting it together is the challenge. As always, there is a trick.

One of the first projects from my new "workshop". I added a mirror to one end and hooks to the front and other end. My 3 year old was ecstatic about helping build it and I enjoyed every minute of it! What a fantastic way to bond and teach and grow, for both of us! Thanks for the site and the plans Ana!!!
