This was my first project so I picked one from the starter section.  My fiance helped me to get familiar with the tools and learn to make the cuts.  I am hooked.  My goal is to learn well enough to get to the point where I can build built ins to make the most out of the small space in our home and maximize it. Since we started late in the day and it's Sunday, I will putty, sand and paint it next weekend.  Gives me an excuse to go to Home Depot for materials for my next project  We made some modifications though, we subbed 2x12 for 1x12 and 1x6 for 1x4.  I wanted a thicker seat, and the local Home Depot was out of 1X4's.  We had 1x8's but instead of ripping them in half we just made the jigsaw cuts a little deeper.  We also used the 2x12 for the legs so those were a little thicker and sturdier.  We'll likely make another and an outdoor table eventually.  Thank you for a wonderful site!

From watching Olympic gymnast Simone Biles on the television to running, flipping and twirling all around our living room — my girls LOVE everything gymnastics. Both girls began competing with a local gymnastics club. Now that my oldest has moved up and is pretty serious about practicing her beam handstands and dismounts, she begged me to build a raised balance beam with suede covering so it would have a similar feel to her beam at the gym.

I followed the instructions for Ana's Herb Garden box. For the handles I used leather strips from Michael's. I think it turned out really nice! I almost wanted to keep it, but I still have scraps to build my own. I am LOVING the Minwax Special Walnut color. It's definitely my favorite!

I extended the slats past the legs by 2 inches on each side. Stained the legs Cherry and Torched the seat. All the wood was reclaimed.

A bookshelf to help with the everyday clutter in our kitchen.

Really wanted one of these but everything I found was way too expensive so I found these plans, tweaked em a bit to fit the space I had and voila, double tilt-out trash bin. Thanks for the wonderful plans!

My husband made these fabulous tall planters based on your plans and video. We painted them the same color as the trim on our home. We live in Florida so instead of filling the entire planter with potting soil my husband put screening about 1/4 from the top so the plants can drain easily, especially in the rainy season. He made the planters with pressure treated wood which is perfect in south Florida.

Thank you so much for providing us with such a beautiful idea for unique and custom planters. My husband had a great time with this project and the results are just fabulous.

We are remodeling our 3 bedroom house into a 4 bedroom. In doing so, my youngest is getting the smaller room. We decided to go with a Murphy bed to allow more play time space. I do not particularly like the fact that this bed doesn’t sit off the ground but overall love the simplicity of making it. We turned it horizontal and just love the overall product. I can mot wait to make something else from this site!

Use the general idea of the kitchen island plans. I had an old butcher block work table top from June 1952. I wanted to cut it down and make a bathroom vanity. We used cedar legs for the posts and shelves.

I modified this pattern to use with tall bar stools I already had. I built it 42" high and added a foot bar along the bottom for added stability since it's tall. The foot bar is only across the front and back so the stools can still slide in on the sides.

This table is exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be any happier with how it turned out.

Made tis twice. First one was a mess, Bought more wood and started over aware of problem areas and built more carefully second time.
