I made the worm composter from Ana's plan and built a cabinet out of old pallets. The stack of worm composters drawers slide in and out of the cabinet on a heavy duty drawer glide set. I used cedar fence board. For 3 bucks a board, it was worth the work to rip them down and sand them. The bottom drawer has a tray built out of old flashing and slopes towards a hose bib in order to collect the worm tea. I designed the drawer insert out of cardboard and cut it out of flashing, using a pop rivet gun to put it together, sealing the seams with flashing caulking. The drawer has a sheet of aluminum window screen under the top square of cedar.
I had an old workbench (pic shown) and reused the 2 by 4s, 2 by 6s (that were supports under the work surface) and the 3/4 inch ply to make a 3 drawer cabinet.
The bases of the drawers were made from the top of the work bench which took some hefty sanding but I actually put the underside of the worktop as the upfacing side for the drawers as that was cleaner even though has some nail holes in places.
The drawer sides and fronts were made from some left over 1 by 4, 1 by 6 and 1 by 8 from my recent work station build.
All I had to buy was the drawer slides and pulls.
Finished in Varathane Carrington and 3 coats of Varathane Matte Poly. The drawers were finished in Minwax Special Walnut.

I would love to make this, but I cannot find the plans.
7 1/2 foot table using basic Ana White plans. I removed the stretcher to allow for more seating... but reinforced the underside to help make it structurally stronger. I also didn't add breadboards as the boss didn't like them. Painted the benches and legs of the table white.... stained the top with miniwax classic grey with a few coats of poly.
I was 58 when I built these. Super easy. I also built these in my kitchen to store all my gadgets..
Thanks Ana. You have so many things I want to try.

My wife and daughter wanted a shelf for her room - had to be pink. All I had to go on was a picture from a Pottery Barn ad. It's made from poplar and was my first kreg pocket hole project.
Loved the Jilly and Mia Workbench Console but didn't have the space. So, I chopped the width in half and used 2x6's for the top. Pocket holes used throughout and 4.5" casters and decorative clavos used for the red lipstick.
These were exactly what we were looking for to dress up the front of our house. They are a great size and went together pretty easily. Getting the angle cuts right took a few tries, but once you get past that it's all pretty simple! Also these are very forgiving for small errors and they look fantastic! We made three for across the front of our house and painted them to match our front door. For more details on our planters, please follow the link to our blog!
Wife asked me for a coffee table for the living room. Was the first piece of furniture ive ever made, it turned out so well she asked for matching end tables. So i made some mirror image end tables. Fairly simple construction 2x4 and 2x6 and the top surface are poplar slats from home depot. 1”-4” Very happy with the way it turned out. Thanks Ana for all your great building tips and plans🤘🏼😎
We just moved to a farm and luckily the house has a wood shop! So we chose to do this farm house table as our first build at our new house. It was so much fun....and it was a great project for my husband and I to work on together! Total working time was about 10 hours, that did not include the time it took for the stain to dry and the poly to set. I am incredibly impatient and probably applied the poly over the stain too early, but with a project like a "rustic farmhouse table", the imperfections from my haste go unnoticed. Next build: barn doors.
Yes we are RENTERS, and yes, we sneakily “REMODELED” a tropical island style outdoor room, with pallets!

Way to go, that is something to be proud of, thank you for sharing!
This is made from cedar, but I painted it anyway. Used a standard single mattress. I highly recommend painting everything first before you put the project together. Full plans are here.
doll house book case with a Hot Pink Roof, also trimmed/painted the doors and window frames. Marking this as a week long project as I was only able to work on it in the evenings, however I believe this could be tackled in a weekend

Wow, that is one happy little girl! And no wonder, what a beautiful job you did! Looks like a great gift for grandkids, too!
Created with hand chiseled mortise and tenon joints and a whitewash stain.
We love the new chairs on the front patio! My daughter and son in law's FIRST project! They completed both chairs in 1 day. We did add an additional 4x4 on the bottom to raise them as my son in law is tall. They sanded and stained them black to go with the gray brick and black door of their home. We picked up the cushions at "At Home" on clearance. Just need a new carpet and we're all set! On to our next project!
Custom bench to fit dormer space.
i build this crate a little bigger for my large doberman. She loves it and sleeps in it all the time. I put the gate on wrong though and she has since chewed the bottom slats, so im going to replace it and add one more so there is less room to chew between.
Built this 8' x 3' buffet/serving table from scrap wood gathered from work. I bought (2) 2x4's for the legs and the 1" particle board for stability under the slats on top. Finished with Red Mahogany and Polycrylic. It was built as a gift for my church and will now be used for Easter Service for Communion. One of many projects I've made and very happy with how this turned out.
