I found this plan for the fancy farmhouse table on Pinterest and decided to tweak it to work as a console table.
Prior to making this table I had never used a power drill in my life, and I was scared to death. I was intimidated by the power and scared to death to mess up, and in making this table I messed up A LOT! It was a big undertaking but I was determined. It’s rustic and authentic and full of mistakes and I LOVE IT!! Thank you Ana for modeling how to make such wonderful things. Up next is the raised flower bed.
Added some extra trim pieces to finish it out. turned out really nice!!

This plan was so easy to follow and do! My dad and I made this bench for my mom as a surprise! Thank you so much!!!! It literally only took us 2.5 house from start to finish of putting it together.
Built this media tower based off the plans inspired by the Pottery Barn Benchwright Towers. I used Annie Sloan's French Linen chalk paint followed by a clear then dark wax. The door panel was made using a decrotive bronze aluminum sheet cut to size. It makes a nice addition to my living room.
We are used to seeing our grandson every weekend but during the 2020 COVID quarantine we were unable to do so. Instead, we filled our time building him a swing set for our backyard. He loved it!! We are going to add more to the swing side but the hardware I want isn't available right now (apparently there is a lot of swing set building going on during this time). I look forward to many years of playing on this with our grandson and hopefully additional grandkids in the future... Our cost was pretty high mainly because our first round of lumber came from a local lumberyard that was willing to deliver within a few days (big box was going to take several weeks) and they had what is supposed to be higher end lumber (not sure I am convinced of that)....also, i chose some pretty expensive hardware (brackets) just for the added security.....
I have a small workshop so this workbench allows me to bring the work outside. It was my first project and I think it came out great.
We took out the tv entertainment cabinet and built a frame for a 60” electric fireplace. We found the ledger rock to match the wall I completed two years ago and then I tiled the rock over the backer board and installed the fireplace. The wood on top of the fireplace came from an oak tree that was growing through our deck. I milled the wood and joined three boards to give me the depth I needed, sanded, stained and put a poly finish on it. Love the final result and we gained 6” of space in the room.

My wife wanted a outdoor sofa, so I did a lot of search for the simplest plan and cost effective for us and I ended finding your youtube post and I said what the heck...lets go for it. Although, I like your plans, I modified it a little, the seat back is a little higher and at a 15 degree angle.
I built this a couple months ago and I'm finally getting around to posting a brag post. This is the second woodworking project I've ever done and my first year gardening! I almost spent over a hundred dollars on one of these raised garden beds and then I saw Ana White's plans and I am so grateful! Hopefully my tomatoes will be ripe soon, but one thing is for sure... this raised garden bed paid for itself with the amount of veggies I'm getting from it! I have big gardening plans for next year! Sorry my second pic is sideways... can't figure it out!
I turned some old oak shelves that I got from an estate sale into a 3' wide Scandinavian slat bench.

I found a bed on line that I loved but I didn't want to pay the sticker price. I found the plans here that were very similar and we built it from your plans with a few modifications. One being the side boards are 12' wide so that it will completely hide the box spring. I love the finished look. Thanks Ana!
Madethe framed three shelf bookshelf with plans from Ana White. It was a gift for new baby in the family. I added a matching side table I designed based off Ana's plans! I used poplar 3/4" plywood, pine trim and poplar top for both pieces. Used Sherwin Williams Emerald trim paint in light green. Love the way these turned out!

Found this on Pinterest and FELL IN LOVE! I have 2 kids that are inseperable, ages 3 & 4, a boy & a girl. I had been toying with ideas for them about bunk beds or maybe some PVC forts. But when I found this, it was like everything in one. Let me also start off by saying, although I am artistic I have never used a single tool or built ANYTHING in my life. EVER.
The beds were surprisingly easy to build and are incredibly sturdy & strong. I followed the plan exactly except for the platforms. I made my daughter's huge. (The plan calls for 22", I made hers 50") My son's I made smaller b/c that wall is shorter & there wasn't enough space. So his is only 16" but it's still plenty of room to climb up & get into bed. They use her platform as a stage to perform on or a small play area.
I'm going to glue down padding to cover both platforms and all the stairs b/c my kids are small but rough & tumble and I can already see the hospital bills. But the bed is EXCELLENT! Surprised to see no one else has posted a brag for it!
Make this immediately! The priming, painting & building for each only took one day. ONE DAY! I painted the room, the trim, and made both beds over the holiday weekend (Labor Day, Friday-Monday). My kids are now the envy of every child (and adult) that we know LOL!

8’ x 3’ Table
I love how this table turned out! This table was built for a friend of mine who wanted a rustic farmhouse table with "fancy" legs. The legs and apron are painted white and distressed. The table top is stained 2 x 6 pine. We love it! Thank you so much for the plans Ana! The legs are 5" turned maple legs. First, I painted the legs and apron "java brown" and then using Minwax furniture paste wax, I applied wax to the areas that I wanted to distress. After two coats of satin white paint, I distressed the legs using 220 grit sandpaper. Two coats of wax and the legs were silky smooth! The top is 2 x 6 yellow pine. I used two coats of Rustoleum dark walnut, one coat of sanding sealer, a final sanding with 220 grit sandpaper and two coats of wax. Love it!!

I built this for a friend but as far as I know she is still using it and gets many complements on it.
Time to get organized in 2017....and what better way than with some custom shelving. This was not too bad of a project to complete. It only took about 6-8 hours to cut, frame, and assemble everything together (thanks to an interruption or two). 'Twas nice to have a project for once that I didn't have to care about finishing the project with wood filler, sanding, painting. I am sure my wife thanks me more as I would have been another week getting things just right!
A few changes that I made from the original plans:
- used 2x8 for the shelving runs as I only was dealing with a 10ft run and was a few bucks cheaper to buy 8 boards vs 16 boards. Plus less cuts!!!
-installed adjustable furniture feet in the supports to deal with sloping basement floor. Unexpected side effect was it was easier to slide the unit around in the basement as I assembled it.
Outside of those changes I remained faithful to the original design. I didn't bother filling the screw holes as we will be hiding the shelving unit with a curtain once we turn the room into a TV/Office area.
Also as it wasn't 100% clear from the original plans, but the height measurements for the shelf supports are to center... not sure why it didn't register with me right away... but just in case anyone else didn't realize that as well.
We purchased a fixer up house that requires a complete gut but the property came with a detached shop! I quickly realized I needed to get the shop cleaned up and organized so it would be easier and more efficient to work on projects for the house. I am a beginner as far as I am concerned and even though this was rated as an intermediate level build, as long as you take your time, it’s definitely doable for a beginner. The plans called for staples but since I just had a Brad nailer, I just used that and it worked fine. I did have one fail, and that was that I had a 1x2 to hang my clamps on but I placed it too far near the outside of the mobile work bench and when I went to store the work bench under the miter stand, the clamps prevented it from sliding in so I had to reposition it. Other than that, it was perfect and as soon as I save up for my Ryobi table saw then I will position it on one of the work benches. Because of the raise in the cost of lumber dut to COVID, the cost was probably twice as much as it should’ve been but I still feel I couldn’t have purchased a huge miter saw station and two mobile work stations for less than I spent on building this. Besides, I can be proud that I built this myself!

I love Ana's original design and it was a great inspiration. I needed to add more baskets so I adjusted it a little. I had some drawer slides sitting around so I added a pull out shelf to fold on as well.

DIY Farmhouse Console Table
