Twin farmhouse
Made two of these for our twins! Lots of steps and measuring but pretty simple!

Outdoor Coffee Table
I used pine for the 2x6's and 2x4's (and 1x3's) and fir plywood for the headboard, footboard and drawers. I also modified the drawers and used a square piece of 3/4" plywood for the bottom - made it way easier to build the drawers square so they slide nicely!
The pulls are from Lee Valley.

I love how the storage drawers are off the floor. The finish looks great and the "in process" photos help a lot. Great Job!
I built this for my daughter's 4th birthday. The kids love it!
This was my first wood working project, and it came out great!
Please note - the buy list leaves out the 2x10s needed for the sides.
A sideboard I built. Took about two weeks. Finish is General Finishes antique white milk paint with a van dyke brown glaze over it. Finished with a top coat of polycrylic

It does look great and I second birdsandsoap, love the finish and beadboard. On a side note... I also like the color of your wall! What is it?

thank you for the commnets. The wall color is Distance by Sherwin Williams and thats funny you say that I have been thinking about changing it because it seems a little too dark
I did this all with fence panels. The dimensions were determined by my 2x4's. I trimmed the pickets to size and overlapped them to give it a real siding look. Then I power washed it and let the kids have fun, we have not finished decorating but we will and I am sure it will change over time since their decoration of choice is chalk. I say a weekend because you need to inventory what lengths of wood you have to plan it out and the smaller cuts for the siding can be time consuming. This didn't cost me a thing I had screws left over from building a deck. I built each wall then screwed them together and attached siding making sure to only screw into the facing wall so I could disassemble if needed.
Awesome rustic book case that was inspired by an Arhaus table. It is a fun twist on a traditional book shelf with tons of character!
I'm calling this a Skiki Bar which is a word play on Tiki bar. It is based on the Simple Rolling Cart design. I used my own dimensions according to the width of cross-country skis. I have a large number of these old skis for projects. They are sold for very cheap at garage sales, etc. The top of the bar is made from boards that I had removed from an Adirondack chair set, which I had made Ski chairs with. So those were already stained and they matched the stain I used on the pine 2x4 frame of this Skiki Bar. I already had a pair of wheels laying around so I only had to buy 2 more of the same size. The pictures were taken before I installed a shelf on the bottom with some scrap plywood I had in my garage.
I estimated the time to factor in how long it takes to stain all the boards and let them dry.
On the left edge I installed a Ski bottle opener I made.
I estimated my cost on what I bought that I didn't already have. I bought the pine 2x4's (also a 1x4, 1x6), Construction Screws, Stainless Steel Screws (For attaching skis), and 2 wheels.
I already had: Skis, Bar top boards, 2 wheels, deck screws (attaching the bar top boards from underneath), stain, clear coat, wood glue and tools.
My next project is to make Ski bar stools. Thanks for having a look at my design!
I turned some old oak shelves that I got from an estate sale into a 3' wide Scandinavian slat bench.
Pat Besong
I took Patrick's design and expanded it. The dresser is deeper and has one more drawer than the original. The finish is only slightly distressed because that's how my 'client' wanted it. The drawer slides were the toughest part. The carcass MUST be square or at least very close. I built the whole thing, then tore the carcass apart and rebuilt it because my first attempt was not square enough. Obviously the drawers won't slide smoothly if it isn't square.
Edit: I get a lot of requests for the plans and/or cut list for my modifications. I do not feel comfortable re-posting the plans on my website and can not do it here either (only pictures can be uploaded). Please feel free to e-mail me (bbomerATgrvland.com) or request the plans in the comment section of my blog (linked below) and I will send you a .pdf that shows my modifications at each step.
Edit 2015-01-26: I do not believe that I am getting notifications for all the comments here, so please use one of the methods above.
Edit 2015-01-28: I have posted my alterations here: http://grvland.com/wordpress/2015/01/28/dresser-plan/. Please comment there with any questions, because I can not guarantee that I will get notified if you comment here.

Hi .. I was just wondering if I could get the free plan for a three drawer dresser ? Nothing fancy , just wat to make one for my wife for her b-day , comin up soon ,, any help would be great ,, Thanks , and hope you have a happy new year/ Bye for now , Claude.
I used the basic Raised cedar garden bed plans with a few alterations. I made them different sizes, stacked one on top of the other for some dimension in my garden and secured them together from in inside.
I recently spotted a little gem in the garage - a little space in between the garage doors. It was perfect for building a modular system of small French cleat box shelves. I made them all using scrap wood. I even had extra scrap wood to make a battery charging station in another narrow gap on the wall. You can read all the details about my latest storage adventure on my blog:

I'm on high alert for more areas like this that get overlooked easily, and am just waiting for more inspiration to strike!
This project was super easy and free! I just used some scrap wood I had, along with stains and finishes already on-hand and built this Pottery Barn Kids knockoff shelf while the baby napped! For the complete play-by-play, click my blog link!

This looks great! I just finished the wood part of this project, and was looking to see what everyone used for a finish. Yours looks pink in the photo, but you say it is red paint. Is the picture true to color?
My first build. Built two of these for less than $50 and four hours. Finished the top with dark brown Polyshades and the bottom with off white satin paint. Borrowed my dad's mitre saw and and drill. Can't wait to do more.
Built entirely of reclaimed pallet wood & shipping crate
My mother wanted something to match the table she got for under her TV, and I found the plans here for the x-style coffee table and small end table to be very fitting. The crosses were pretty difficult with just a hand saw, but with the help of my brother in law we got these done in a few days.
I liked the design of the barnyard dinner table and needed a table on the patio for family get togethers. I modified the table plans to seat 10 and made it bar height. I also finished the top vs planks. Came out great.

Your Stain
I'm making these beds and love your stain! I have tried several sample stains and cannot find one I like. Where did you find your stain?
