great plans, thanks! a girl can do. used scrap 2x4s from a concrete pour for the bar stools (ran them through table saw) and leftover 2x12 cutouts from pool deck framing so they are not as perfect as with new wood but it’s great to recycle
for the outdoor chairs I used scrap 2x4s as well but for the seat went with new 1x4
I built the Channing Snack cabinet as a Christmas present for my husbands "man cave". It's bigger than the plans outline in order to accommadate the larger "mini-fridge" I bought from Target. He absolutly loves it and it looks like a piece you would get at a real furnature store and not something I built in my barn at night.

Hey..that amazing. I have a brother who own a mini fridge in his room. This will look nice for him to put his mini fridge. It will also look nice if can add a door to it.
We wanted a large buffet for our hall and these plans were perfect. We modified the design to fit our needs, and painted the buffet a wonderful pop color that matched some accents throughout the house.
What really brought the project together was the herringbone top. We used 7 different species of wood sealed with poly and then finished with wax.

This was a super easy build - the only thing that took forever was getting all the angles perfect.
I combined the full-sized Hannah canopy bed plans with the Farmhouse Storage Bed with hinged footboard by birdandsoap here: http://ana-white.com/2011/07/farmhouse-storage-bed-hinged-footboard . Decided not to taper the ends of the 2x3s. There's so much storage underneath!
My granddaughter loved the console table she saw in your plans. Together, we made it! The same one at Pottery Barn was $1,299.

These were all Christmas projects...My daughter needed a blanket chest, so I used Anna's Toy Chest plans - modifying them to add a lid (which also functions as an extra seat). I made the dimensions larger because she had some really large blankets to store and also added some fancier trimming. Her husband wanted DVD storage in their room, so I built the cabinet and painted it to match the blanket chest. I do most of my building in the evenings, so it took a couple of days to build these - the finishing took the most time over several evenings. Also shown is the mail organizer, with an airplane motif because of my grandson's love of airplanes.

Sorry, I hadn't noticed there was a new comment. I am one of those who just look at something or see a need and form plans in my head (I'm not good at writing them); so I don't have any plans. I just cut the lid so that it would overhang an inch on the ends and front. Then I cut a 1x2 the length of the lid and attached it on top of the lid at the back (the 3/4 side against the wood). The 1x2's for the end of the lid were cut to fit; the fronts rounded with a jig saw; then attached. I hope this helps.

I am a retired man from Toronto, and I find wood working is very therapeutic. All credits to Mrs. Anna that’s she is been inspiring many people to engage with this activities. The most important steps to achieve my plan is sticking with the project I had planned. In the past as a rookie, I was very excited and started the project without a plan in order to speed up the process and finishing the task. The results were very disappointing and disaster.

This was my first table - I added extensions by notching out the end 2x4's and making extensions that slide into the pockets. There were a few mistakes I made that will be corrected when I build my next.
I modified the length of the table down to 5 feet long, but with the extensions in it goes up to 8'. The table is also 34" tall due to a giant husband and Great Dane. The chairs were likewise modified in height and I made the backs a bit fancier using 1x2's and a nail gun.
Yes, really a bed in a day! It took 24 hours from the time we bought our supplies to completion. So much nicer than any store bought we looked at, these plans are really a breeze even though I had never tackled a project like this before.
My twins just turned four and were still sleeping in their toddler beds, so it was time for an upgrade. They still want to share a room so we knew we needed to maximize space and open up some room for them to play. We chose the Camp Loft Bed but raised the height to 72" (with 53" of headspace) so we might be able to add a desk underneath when they get older.
Essentially, we made two loft beds with the platforms but omitted the stairs. Then we built a slightly lower platform to put between the two beds, which acts as a step down. Then instead of making stairs that jut out into the room, we added two 2x4s as ladder rungs to the lower platform. This also acts as a tunnel for the twins to crawl under to go between each other's play spaces. This also makes it so the beds can be easily separated if we ever need to put them in separate rooms.
When it was complete we noticed one of the beds was a little wobbly, so we added diagonal braces in the corners and another 2x4 across the length of the bottom to help stabilize it. We also chose to use 1x4 pieces of pine as the slats for the mattress to lay across, but they didn't feel like they would support our weight if we wanted to read to them in bed. So we added two more 2x4s underneath the slats the entire length of the bed, which has added a ton of support.
We stopped keeping track of exactly how much it cost, but it was close to $400 for both beds combined. And it took most of my husband's free time for two weeks, but most of that was painting two coats of paint on every piece before assembling. First he cut all the pieces to size, drilled the holes with a Kreg Jig, and then painted. To make the painting more efficient, he put a bunch of screws into boards so he could paint all the exposed sides of the lumber, flip, and leave them to dry. Then we assembled the beds in their room.
The twins love their new beds, and we love how much more space they have to play in their room! We were worried the room would feel too crowded but with the openness of the plan and the space that was opened up underneath, we think it turned out great! Now we can move in a bunch of their toys and reclaim some of our house! Thanks for the great plans!
I had to do a 3ftx3ft square table since our eating area in the apartment isn't big enough for a dining table, but I really like how it turned out :) I also added breadboard ends because I can't stand how the cut ends look. I got the legs from osborne wood

Absolutely loved making this bed! It became my summer project and I needed it done in a two week time frame. Between working on it after i got off work and on my days off, it came out exactly how I wanted it to.
I only ended up spending a total of $140 dollars by using scrap wood around my garage and new nails and screws and such. This was the absolute way to go before moving into my first apartment with little to no furniture! The storage boxes were the perfect solution to not wanting to buy a dresser. It's completely durable and I'd definitely do it again! Thanks Ana White!
Here are a few of the ten dollar ledges we added around the girls bed. We had no room for tables so we thought we would give this a try. It's working beautifully. We hung the ledges in studs and they are standing up to constant use perfectly. The girls have space for their most cherished nik naks and a drink in case they wake thirsty in the night. We couldn't be more pleased. Now I'm seeing the possibility for ledges in every room.

Before you go to use it...if it's been sitting for awhile...give it a good shake. As you can see in this picture...it does tend to separate a bit. But after a quick shake it's good to go. To use: spray on stains as you normally would. I usually let mine "soak in" for a few minutes at least. Then launder as usual.water damage Temecula CA

This was my second project from Ana White's plans. I felt confident in my new woodworking skills once I learned how to use the kreg jig for pocket holes. The child's table and chair I made came out so good, I decided why not try a toddler bed for my 4 yr old granddaughter. She loves her new bed. And I love how easy and fun it was to make.
I only had to make minor adjustments to the size to accomodate her mattress. I brought the footboard out to the edge of the legs because I needed to add an inch to the length, but the sides are set in like the plans. I also added a couple inches to the rail height since her mattress is 6 inches deep and I wanted it to be above the mattress.
I was afraid I couldn't get the rounded headboard neat, so I used the whole 6 inch board, adding to the height of the headboard a few inches. I also added the top board on the headboard because it just made it look cleaner on top. You might not be able to tell from the photo, but I did use the beadboard - I had a scrap the perfect size.
Very easy plan to follow
This was an easy project. It took longer to paint and stain than the construction.

This is the twin farmhouse bed and the matching trundle. We chopped about 8 inches off the headboard since we were not using a boxspring for our mattress. Other than that it's as written. I'm so thrilled to free up space in our girls' room!

This is exactly what I'm looking for!
My husband and I would like to begin building this ASAP. Could you please clarify for me that the original measurements for the Twin Farmhouse bed and the trundle bed will certainly be able to accommodate one another? I just want to make sure it'll fit! I think I saw someone else comment that they changed some of the measurements to make a trundle bed fit underneath, but they didn't go into detail.
We also won't be using a box spring.

A few alterations I made to your original design plans:
1. I went with 1/2” plywood and bead board for the back. This gave it a little more stability and a complimentary design element to match other pieces I’ve built.
2. I used 2x3’s instead of 2x2’s since the selection was much better at the lumber store.
3. For the bench top I used a black walnut slab cut to size finished with a danish oil and satin poly top coat.
4. Instead of the X, I enclosed the sides and used a pair of parallel 2x3’s backed with poplar boards cut to size.
