Rustic bench

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Sat, 01/11/2020 - 11:38

Love this little bench! My bench is a little bigger than Ana's, and the seat is not as deep, but the plans were super easy to follow. It's just what I needed to finish out my living room!

This easy project made me the best Aunt ever! I made it for my nieces and nephews for Christmas. It was such a huge hit that one of them threw up all over it from laughing so hard. :)

The garage was freezing cold but they stayed there all evening once they discovered their gift.

Lego Table

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Tue, 04/26/2016 - 06:52

Very Easy project, the plans are straight forward. The kids love having a table to play lego's and we love being able to hide everything away. Very Nice Table. When the girls get older and the Plywood cover shows signs of wear from much use, I'll probably replace the cover with one made from pine 1x6's biscuit-joined to give a nice textured look, but still with the storage for games and stuff.

Long Modern TV Console with Pallet Wood

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Fri, 01/17/2020 - 14:18

This project was a Christmas present for my girlfriend. I modified these plans a little bit to put the open shelf in the middle and used the pallet wood for this instead of it being white. The pallet wood was such a pain to cut up in to usable strips but after cutting them down, gluing them up, and sanding them down (for ages) I couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out. I used Watco Danish in medium walnut for the finish and I think it brought out the imperfections in the wood beautifully. I just used some pre-made legs from Amazon instead of the base out of laziness.

Baby Doll Crib

I made this as a birthday present for my two year old neice. It was really easy to make even for a beginner like myself. My five year daughter has been asking me every day if I would make her one "just like it" for her dolls, so I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend!

Scrap Wood Dog Bed

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Mon, 09/18/2023 - 15:22

Scrap wood build for a dog bed. I built a new couch to replace the chair she destroyed and used the old chair cushion in her new bed. Has kept her off the furniture and on her own bed ever since.

Benchmark Media Console

This was my first project, I love the look of the benchwright collection, so I changed the plans a little so it will look like the benchwright console and coffee table.(Farmhouse look) On the top I used 2-1x5's and 2-1x6's with 1x6 breadboard ends instead of the plywood with 1x2's and 1x3's. I can't wait to start on the benchwright coffee table and the console table for the entry way.

Built from Plan(s)
Estimated Cost
About 200. That includes everything from the wood to the finishes, handles, screws, ect..
Estimated Time Investment
Week Long Project (20 Hours or More)
Finish Used
Minwax Dark Walnut (1 coat) and Gloss Polyurethane (2 coats). I also used a wood conditioner to keep to color from being too blotchy. I love all the different colors that the cheaper pine wood has when stained.

That's beautiful! My husband and I just built a den onto my Mom and Dad's old farmhouse. She is begging me for the entire Benchwright collection to go in her new room. I will be building this piece soon, I'm sure ;) Thanks for sharing all the great photos!

The only sanding I did was to smooth out the bumps. I didn't do any hard sanding. The glass is attached with mirror clips from the backside.

Farmhouse Media Console

A Farmhouse Media Console built from ana white's plans. This media console was built out of maple plywood and poplar for the face frame, doors, and top. The design at the bottom was a bit of a trick. I used a bucket for the half circle and a very thin piece of wood for the "wavy" design. The center door is known as a barrister door. I would be happy to answer any questions. Wanted to show off our version of your American Girls bunk bed!

Submitted by jdinesen on Mon, 02/03/2020 - 05:53

We had the mattresses and bed covers made !

We did increase the height to 20" which seemed to add a little extra space between the bunks. My daughter were able to help, she is 10. This was a nice and quick build !

Thanks Ana,
