In January, I came across your plans for the farmhouse, coffee table. I made it, and loved it! I had been wanting a new spin on kennels for our dogs. And thought your coffee table transformed into a dog kennel would be perfect, and they are!!

Our nephew Nathan really wanted a captain's bed like his friend. We built him one even better for Christmas this year. I couldn't find one plan with everything we wanted to I used the plans for the Storage Daybed for the base, and used the plans for the Cozy Corner twin bed collection wide bookcase unit. We combined both the headboard and sideboard into one unit (by extending the top to the short end) giving him an L shaped headboard for all his hockey stuff :) The only thing we messed up on was the height of the bookcase. He wanted it higher so it's on blocks for now to raise it. My sister did all the final painting to match his room and it looks AWESOME!!!
Steve had everything cut at work and we put it together in one 12 hour day! Nathan LOVES his new bed. Thank you Ana!

The colors are the official Montreal Canadiens hockey team's colors, My son is a HUGE fan! Nathan LOVES his bed. and it is very solid.

Ummm... The bookcases were too short because you didn't take the mattress height into account. Looks really good though.
We had a great time making this desk! I was so thankful for the inspiration and now I have a new favorite spot in our home.
Hi Ana, after building your essential chairs I decided to build my grandson a small one I burned it with a torch and then clear coated it and it turned out so sweet. I also built a picnic table and added a different crossmember to it for strength. I also built a glider swing that I used from an old pattern from many years ago. Still without going to your site and watching you build on YouTube I would not have attempted any of this. I love all of the things that you build and you have inspired me so much. Thank you for all you do and keep those wonderful plans coming! My next project is going to be that little workshop that you build in panels and put together that you made for your friend. I'm going to make one and turn it into a lawn mower shed.

Made from Canadian white pine just made from 2x6s that where ripped down to the top,legs, sides and the X's. Sanded 3/4in plywood was used for both shelves instead of solid 1x12 pine board to cut down on cost of the build. 15in wide x 4ft long x 30in high
I decided to build my patio furniture and built a couch, with cushions, coffee table, 2 Adirondack adult chairs and one child’s Adirondack chair. It was so much fun to plan and build all of the furniture and so enjoy going out there on cool days! Thanks to Ana White for all of the plans! This is my 20th Ana White project! On to my next project! Plans were outdoor modern sofa, modern Adirondack chair, kids Adirondack chair, 2x4 outdoor coffee table.

Used your plans but make changes to the planters since I do not own an angle machine. They look great and the cost was less than $30

Can appreciate wanting to do projects but not having all the necessary fancy tools. I need to make two of these anyway (one to give away), so going to steal this idea to make it a wham-bam quick job!
Ana, thanks for the plans! I modified mine to have more of a roof to give my son more play space and added a toybox at the "back" of the boat. Still need to pick up sand but has turned out great so far! I think it will be the starting point for a full playset.

A few alterations I made to your original design plans:
1. I went with 1/2” plywood and bead board for the back. This gave it a little more stability and a complimentary design element to match other pieces I’ve built.
2. I used 2x3’s instead of 2x2’s since the selection was much better at the lumber store.
3. For the bench top I used a black walnut slab cut to size finished with a danish oil and satin poly top coat.
4. Instead of the X, I enclosed the sides and used a pair of parallel 2x3’s backed with poplar boards cut to size.

I made these for a friend and just loved how they turned out. I liked the stained and black combo it turned out pretty good. I will be making some more for my son and and friend of his along with the sofa as an addition.
I wanted a place for a flag pole, but I didn't want to put one in the ground or screw into my siding, so I modified the cedar planter to hold a flag pole. It was a fun project! Check out more here!
A medicine / bathroom vanity I built for my son’s master bathroom. Constructed of 3/4 oak veneer , 1x2 and 1x3 red oak for the face frames and doors. I used a combination of dowels and dominos to assemble. The metal for the doors was purchased at The HD. Finished off with Minwax English Chestnut stain and 4 coats of Shellac.

Upsized to a king. Couple of changes:
Mitered all the trim. Routed a rabbet in the back for the plywood panel. I mount to the wall with an offset to clear the baseboard (I attach wood blocks on the back and use adjustable furniture feet for leveling and floor protection.
I built this island using Ana's base cabinet plans. I simply added a face frame to all the sides because they are all visible. My wife drew up the plan that includes open storage at one end and an overhang at the other to provide room for a stool. We bought the butcher block top online. It comes unfinished, so we had to sand it down smooth and treat it with mineral oil.

I'm in love....this is gorgeous! You both should be very proud of how it turned out. Now, if only my kitchen weren't so small that I can touch both opposite countertops with my arms spread out.....I would build this in a heartbeat! :P

Saw some of the other brags which includes a raised backrest so I incorporated that into my build. There's a 30 degree angle on the backrest (two 2X4's and one 2X6)
This was made from scrap wood, a cheap $5.00 mirror and some hooks. This hangs near my front door and I hang scarves and bags on it. Always good to have a mirror to double check yourself before you leave the house. It was based on Ana White's Craftsman Frame.
Such a fun surprise for my 8-year-old daughter for Christmas! It took my 10-year-old and I several days to finish it, but we are so proud of the final product!
I was planning on building a greenhouse some time next year but I just happen to see this by chance and fell in love with it. I've always built from my own designs but when I saw this I decided to purchase the plans. I couldn't be more happy with it. Right now its doubling as a feed room. I wanted a solid foundation so I build a floating deck to mount the walls on. The deck added quite a bit to the total price.

I had a wonderful time making this toy box and learning new techniques. Having access to a table saw really made this project turn out awesome. I was able to get 1/4" shims made that allowed for easy, precise offsets. The family just loved it!
Here is the latest Table I have made. I cant get enough of this table design, the rustic bold feel blending with curved lines is awesome.
