Tryde Coffee Table

We took the origional plans and used that as the basis for ours. We re-designed it for our size needs on Vectorworks, a design program that we usually use for working in theatre. We bought all of our supplies at Lowes for around $80. Fortunately for us we have a fully stocked scene shop avaliable for our projects. We built it one day then the next we sanded it and stained and sealed it. Its a nice heavy table that we LOVE. we wanted a project to make something nice that will last forver, but still be cheap because we are on a college budget. We used an engraver to put our initials on the table so one day we can show our kids what we can do.

Different take on the farmhouse X table + bench

Wife found a post where someone did a riff on farmhouse X table where instead of supports at the floor and top of the base, there was one support in the middle of the X. The riff made the table taller than the original (which I didn’t realize till we had the x bench put up against the ‘riff’ table - about 3 inches too low which I’ll fix this weekend. It only works ok for my 6’7” brother law lol.

Other alterations i made - turned the X support into through tenons (my first - future ones will be cooler) and decorative cross 2x2 under the table top similar to the way they are on the bench.

Turns out, looks pretty cool with taller bar chairs!

Apothecary coffee table with toy trundle

I found the original plans and LOVED them, but my house is tiny, so I was forced to re-work the plans to fit my space! This is a good bit smaller, but every bit as awesome! ;) I decided not to distress it, but I may down the road if it starts to scuff up! ;) Project took about a week long including finishing time. Actual build time was 9-10 hours over two days.

Big kids picnic table

I followed the plans to a T with this one. I wish I had made the seat supports longer so I could have the seats sit a little further from the table for bigger kids. I drilled a hole for the umbrella in the table top and the cross support. Sanded for hours, primed, and painted 3 coats. I will add feet to the legs so the legs aren't sitting flat on the ground, with the potential to rot. 

Took 2 hours to build, 2 hours to sand, and many hours to paint multiple coats. Very solid and should last a long time!

Shoe Bench

Ana's spa bench inspired me this project. My shoe rack had been screaming 'foul' for a long time and I had been on the market looking for a three-tiered shoe bench. The benches I saw online were either too small or too expensive. So when I found this plan, I said "why not?" So the rest is history.

Large porch bench

What a fun project, and great bench. We had someone ask us if we could make this for them, and we decided to make 2 while we were at it.....now we just need to find a spot big enough for the second one at our house. Loved this build, and look forward to sipping coffee on it on a cool morming.

Farmhouse Storage bed with platform modification

Hi, I’m Joe and love working on my cabin in Stanley Idaho. I needed a queen size bed on the ground floor but the room is small so I incorporated the footboard into into the platform to gain 6 inches of space in the room. It took a couple months working off and on but all fun. I also made the drawers deeper front to back to maximize storage. I did this at the peak of lumber prices and spent like $900 on lumber. It came out great, my Airbnb guests love it!

Shoe Rack for Mother's Day

A pretty simple shoe rack. My wife wanted something to hold a LOT of shoes that could go in our garage by the door to the kitchen. Girls helped with the painting :)

Cute corner cabinet!

This project took me the majority of a three-day weekend to complete, but it was well worth it! I had the lumber store cut the beadboard panel for me so that it would fit in my car. This was also the first time I built something with doors on it, which was a bit of a learning curve, but came out alright in the end. I used pocket holes to build the face frame, and attached the shelves to the frame first before attaching them to the 1x8 back. I used 1 1/4" pocket hole screws and 2" wood screws. I left off the trim at the top and didn't bother to cut out the footer, but I think it still looks pretty cute.

DIY Potting Bench

I’ve been wanting a potting bench for a while now - something by the back door to display some decor, use as an outdoor work station, and double as a place for UPS to leave packages. After looking around online and at local stores, I couldn’t find anything that I liked that fit the narrow space - so I did what any #woodworkingmom would do, I decided to build it myself. Cutest Baby Doll High Chair

My neighbors grand-daughter is about to turn 3 and I thought this would make a great present for her.. plus, when she saw it online while visiting me (I was checking the website as usual), she said "Oh, I NEED one of those!".  I laughed and then that night went out and checked my scrap pile to see if I had everything I needed to build it.

I only needed one 8' piece of 1x2 to complete it.. .everything else I had, so great!

In love with the Parsons

Love the result! Your plans for this is fool-proof for someone like me. Easy to build… only after attempting use (4) 1x6 for top and messed up the corners to attach legs with my terrible jigsaw skills, I scratched the 4th board and went with the (2) 1x4’s on each side surface. I’m now in love with this style and plan on (finally) having matching new furniture, once I build some of the other pieces in this Parson style collection! Thank you for the plans

Kitchen Book & Wine Case

I made a small book case that includes a wine shelf.
It is all solid cherry. I used a shiplap paneling design for the back panel.
It is finished with many coats of natural color Danish Oil.
